What we judge
Connection protocol (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Thread, Matter) · hub requirements · light quality across the dimming range · ecosystem support (Alexa, Google, HomeKit) · long-term value. Every product gets the same checklist, and every review names who should buy it and who should skip it.
How facts are verified
Each factual claim in our articles — lumen output, wattage, protocol support, waterproof ratings — is stored in a verification database with its source. Before publication, an independent review gate checks every article against those verified facts and rejects drafts that contradict them.
How articles stay true
This is where we differ from most review sites: our verification system re-checks published facts against their original sources automatically, day after day. The badge at the top of each review shows how many facts are verified and when they were last checked. If a manufacturer changes a spec, the affected article is flagged and updated — you will see a note in the article when that happens.
Prices
We never print prices in our articles, because printed prices go stale. Current price and availability always live one click away at the retailer.
